Ink Between Us
Across the miles, with stamps and ink,
Two kindred souls find time to think.
From Texas plains to Florida’s shore,
Their letters travel, hearts explore.
She writes of sunsets, skies so wide,
With crafty touches tucked inside—
Pressed flowers, lace, a ribboned seam,
Her words a quilt, a stitched-up dream.
He taps his typewriter, keys that sing,
Each click a promise, each line a wing.
He folds his thoughts with gentle care,
And sends them flying through the air.
The postman’s knock, the sweetest sound,
A friendship blooms where love is found.
Though miles apart, they still employ
The art of letters, crafts, and joy.
