Daisy and Hugo- the Mourning Doves

In the quiet branches of our tree, a gentle pair of mourning doves have made their home. Daisy and Hugo, with their soft gray feathers and tender coos, have built a delicate nest where they perch side by side each day. Their calm presence brings a touch of peace and grace to the yard, a reminder of the simple beauty of nature right outside our window.

Beneath the quiet morning sky,
Two mourning doves drift low, then fly,
Their wings a whisper, soft, serene,
They find their place in branches green.

Upon the oak, they build with care,
A fragile home suspended there;
Each twig a vow, each leaf a prayer,
A promise woven through the air.

They murmur songs both hushed and deep,
A lullaby the earth will keep,
Of peace that rises, love that stays,
Of hope that brightens shadowed days.

O gentle spirits, pure and free,
Messengers of eternity,
Within your nest the heart can see—
A world reborn in harmony.
